DE LUCERNE per Maja

CHAPELBRIDGE

Since the city straddles the Reuss River where it drains the lake, it has a number of bridges. The most famous is the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), a 204 m (670 ft) long wooden bridge originally built in 1333, although much of it had to be replaced after a 1993 fire. Partway across, the bridge runs by the octagonal Water Tower (Wasserturm), a fortification from the 13th century. Inside the bridge are a series of paintings from the 17th century depicting events from Luzern's history. The Bridge with its Tower is the city's most famous landmark.

PILATUS MOUNTAIN

Pilatus is a mountain near Lucerne. Jurisdiction over the mountain is divided up between the cantons of Obwalden, Nidwalden, and Lucerne. During the summer, a popular route for tourists involves taking a boat from Lucerne across Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad, going up on the cog railway, coming down on the aerial tramway, and taking a bus back to Lucerne. Pilatus was named after a local legend which alleges that Pontius Pilate was buried there.

Lake Lucerne

Lake Lucerne (German: Vierwaldstättersee, lit. "Lake of the Four Forest Cantons") is a lake in central Switzerland, the fourth largest in the country.

The lake is a complicated shape, with bends and arms reaching from the city of Lucerne into the mountains. It has a total area of 114 km², an elevation of 434 m, and a maximum depth of 214 m. Its volume is 11.8 km³. Much of the shoreline rises steeply into mountains up to 1500 m above the lake, resulting in many picturesque views.

It is possible to circumnavigate the lake by road, though the route is slow, twisted, and goes through tunnels part of the way. Dozens of steamers ply between the different towns on the lake. It is a popular tourist destination, both for native Swiss andforeigners, and there are many hotels and resorts along the shores.

THE RIVER REUSS

The River Reuss is one of the larger rivers in Switzerland. On its way the Reuss runs through Lake Lucerne, where a pioneering needle dam (just upstream from the Spreuerbrücke) maintains the water level. The Reuss continues through the Schöllenen Gorge and under the legendary Devil's Bridge at St. Gotthard Pass before joining the Aar.

Grao de Castellón

Hola, I am Arturo and am going to speak about Castellón's neighborhood, more concretly about the Shore.

It is a neighborhood of the biggest of Castellón and of most visited also, especially in summer since the people come to the beautiful beaches.
In the shore there is all kinds of things, from a fishing port, beaches, etc ... to a mall and to a great quantity of restaurants. In the restaurants they serve a food related to the port of the Shore, és to say, all kinds of fish and changed. The beaches són very visited both by the fishing ones and for the people who wants to bath. There is a few wide enough beaches.
To the next of the beaches also there is a pinegrove, which also is very visited and very nicely

Hi I'm Marta and I' going to speak you about historical and importants buildings of Castellón.

Castellón has many historical buildings and importants zones with a lot of monuments. Some of these monuments or importants and interesting buildings to visit, are between the following ones:

In the Greater seat areb the buildings of more character of the traditional Castellón:
The Fadrí, The city council, the concatedral and the market.

The Fadrí :

The best symbol of the city is the Fadrí. It is a bell tower constructed separately of the Concatedral church Santa Maria

The city Council:

It was constructed at the beginning of century XVIII. Its facade is of toscano style.

Cathedral Santa María:

Its style is gothic. It has been destroyed several times. Its last reconstruction was in 1940.

The main theatre:

It constitutes, after its remodeling, restoration and modernization, one of the more important cultural center of the city.

"Mare de Déu del Lledó" basilica:

The Basilica's origin, goes back to chapel of the century XIV that was elevated to give honor to the finding of the image made by the farmer Perot de Granyana, who is, from year 1922, the pattern of the city.

Museum of beautiful arts:

It's the one that counts with more varied collections between its bottoms. It's located in the center city.

The Contemporany Art's Space:
Show, in its rooms, exhibitions of vanguardista art.

Planetarium:

In the Grao, in addition, in beginning of the Marine Stroll. Planetarium offers, exhibitions, as much permanent as traveling or temporary mainly dedicated to the subject of the sea, environment and science.

These are some of monuments and more important architectonic and cultural elements of Castellón.

By all means, for the diversion, the distraction… we can find a commercial center with stores, restaurants, recreational, cinemas…
